Monotonous at times, but definitely works

The exercises in this book can be really monotonous and require a lot of time and dedication. That being said, they absolutely WORK. This book has greatly increased my coordination around claves, but more importantly it has increased my ability to perceive and re-orchestrate claves.
So I guess my only warnings would be:
1. Do not buy this book if you are not serious about learning to play Latin music. This is not a book of 'grooves' or a quick study in world music. You will have to put A LOT of time and effort into this book to see results.
2. This book focuses on the rumba clave, so if you are looking to learn the son clave, you may want to find a different book.

I found this book to be a very interesting and refreshing change to the other books I seen relating to this subject. This is not for the faint at heart. "Conversations in Clave" will challenge and motivate...but YOU need to do the work. No magic pill here!! If you go for it, you will increase your independence,knowledge and skills.

Great baseball book for kids!

Okay, I have no idea what a few of the other reviewers are talking about. If you and your child enjoy baseball, there's no way you wouldn't consider this book a homerun.

I'm not a Yankees fan, but I really enjoyed this book. My four-year-old got it when he was three, loves it, and wants to read it over and over.

The story is written by Posada with the help of Robert Burleigh, the author of the excellent Home Run: The Story of Babe Ruth. The illustrations are excellent. The story moves along at a perfect pace, is well written, and shows a young player that baseball takes a lot of patience.

This book belong on your shelf with Casey At the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in the Year 1888 (Caldecott Honor Book), Take Me Out to the Ballgame (Aladdin Picture Books) and other great children's baseball books.

Dear Amazon HELP,

i buy this book it is good but the problem is delevery, they give me a damage copy, damage by rain because did not use plastic bag as usual, no contact telephone or email for amazon nobody can help customers, and according to return policy i have the right to get new copy if i send the item on my account to amazon during a month and if the item not submitted to amazon, amazon will cut the price again.

About the Author
Vicky practises as a medical herbalist in London. She worked at Neal's Yard Remedies for six years providing natural health and beauty advice. Kim works in environmental education and historical plant research, and is a researcher at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Vicky and Kim met five years ago whilst studying Herbal Medicine at Westminster University. They set up Handmade Apothecary to share their passion about the natural power of plants to others.
